Huff does! We know that Huff is an extremely diverse
multicultural school. In 2007, we determined that the approximately
465 students attending Huff at the time were born in 24 different countries!
Amazing! The Huff PTA likes to celebrate this diversity by sponsoring
at least one annual Cultural Diversity Event, but we NEED YOU to make it
happen! We provide the money and support, you provide the cultural
experience!

The main goals of this event are to:
1. Bring together the Huff Community to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month;
2. Promote fitness and walking as an important part of a healthy lifestyle;
3. Enjoy delicious food; and,
4. Provide a FUN way for students to raise money for their PTA and be proud of their school!

In 2009, to honour our neighbours to the north and our Canadian Principal, we had an O' Canada Pancake Breakast event with lots of fun activities that included: eating yummy pancakes with Canadian Maple syrup, playing a hockey game with a homemade Stanley Cup, throwing snowballs with real snow, meeting a real dog-sledding team, sliding on a double-inflatable slide, learning Canadian trivia, making crafts and more!
In 2008, the PTA generously sponsored an Indian Heritage Event.
Indian members of the Huff Community came together and proudly hosted
an incredible event which included such things as delicious Indian
cuisine, traditional Indian games, crafts, an awesome fashion show, and
an unbelievably well-choreographed and executed cultural dance all in
traditional costume!
In 2007, Huff PTA sponsored a Cultural Heritage Event with a
spectacular performance by Aztec Dancers.
